Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology has been closed till March 29 following the death of an activist of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
The Ruet authorities have asked the male and female students to vacate their dormitories by 5:00pm on Friday and 12:00pm on Saturday respectively.

The university took the closure decision in an urgent meeting held hours after BCL leader Aziz Khan Sajib, 25, succumbed to his injures early Friday, reports our RU correspondent.
A 4th year civil engineering student at the university and son of Ataur Rahman of Palashbari at Savar, Aziz died at 3:00am at Savar’s Habib Clinic.

On March 13, Sajib was referred to Dhaka Orthopedic Hospital (Pangu) and shifted to Habib Clinic near his village home on Thursday in an unconscious state.
The authorities also formed a three-member probe committee headed by Electronic Department Head Prof Abdul Gaffar to investigate the reason behind Sajib’s death.
