Having kickstarted on a hit note, it’s promising to be a rather exciting year ahead in Bollywood. But the films hitting jackpot at the BO is not the only reason for the upbeat mood in the industry.
There’s equal eagerness about getting to see some very interesting lead pairings in the forthcoming films. And leading this pack of can’t-wait-to-see-’em-together jodis is the pairing of actors Shah Rukh Khan with Katrina Kaif.
Then there are others like that of actors Akshay Kumar with Sonakshi Sinha and Sonakshi with Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor with Ileana D’Cruz, John Abraham with Kangana Ranaut and Emraan Hashmi with Bipasha Basu. Trade analyst Komal Nahta explains that the maximum buzz is about Kat with SRK, as both are top of the game stars and are coming together for the first time.
“Also the fact that Yash Chopra is directing the film has raised the expectations that much more,” says Komal.
However, while these are the first time jodis, the trade pundit adds that even other jodis like Aamir Khan with Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor, Kareena with Saif, Salman Khan with Sonakshi, Priyanka Chopra with Shahid Kapoor and Ranbir, and Deepika Padukone with Ranbir too will be interesting to watch out for, as the chemistry was quite strong in their previous films together.
“I think it’s going to be a treat for film buffs all through this year with the change in mix happening these past few months,” explains Komal.
